Ysios Capital’s portfolio company CVRx Inc. prices IPO on NASDAQ
- CVRx, Inc. (Minneapolis, US) is a commercial-stage medical device company focused on developing, manufacturing and commercializing innovative and minimally invasive neuromodulation solutions for patients with cardiovascular diseases. It’s main product, Barostim NEO, a novel product for treatment of heart failure, was one of the first therapies to receive FDA Breakthrough Device Designation. This distinction is reserved for unique therapies that are intended to treat a life-threatening or irreversibly debilitating disease where there is no available treatment alternative.
- Ysios Capital invested in CVRx’s Series F in 2013 through Ysios BioFund I, and has continued to support the company in the Series G financing of 2016.
- This is a major achievement for Ysios as CVRx is its fifth portfolio company to be listed on NASDAQ, and the second within just three months.
SAN SEBASTIÁN/BARCELONA July 5, 2021 – Ysios Capital, a leading Spanish biotechnology venture capital firm, today announced that its portfolio company CVRx Inc. has priced its initial public offering (IPO) and is trading on the Nasdaq Global Market (NASDAQ: CVRX). This is the second Ysios Capital portfolio company, alongside LAVA Therapeutics (NASDAQ:LVTX), to list on NASDAQ in the last 3 months.
CVRx Inc announced the pricing of its initial public offering of 7,000,000 shares of its common stock at a public offering price of $18.00 per share. In connection with the offering, CVRx has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 1,050,000 shares of common stock at the initial public offering price, less the underwriting discount.
The shares began trading on the Nasdaq Global Select Market on June 30, 2021, under the ticker symbol “CVRX.” The gross proceeds from the offering, before deducting the underwriting discount and other offering expenses payable by CVRx, are expected to be approximately $126.0 million, excluding any exercise of the underwriters’ option to purchase additional shares.
