Biography

Julia is responsible for investor relations and corporate development and management at Ysios Capital.

Julia has over 25 years of experience in executive positions in the financial sector. From 2000 to 2007, Julia was Director at Talde – a venture capital group that pioneered venture capital management in Spain. There she was responsible for fundraising and investor relations, and for Talde’s biotech investments in Spain. Julia led the closure of a €40 million fund for Talde in 2000 and was responsible for raising another fund of €60 million in 2006.

Prior to Talde, Julia was Principal Economist in the Research Department of the Bank of Spain and gained broad experience as a high-level committee member in the European Commission, European Central Bank and OCDE.

Julia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid, an MBA from the University of Deusto and a Senior Management Program (PADE) degree from IESE at the University of Navarra.

Formerly, Julia was Board member at Sabir Medical and STAT Diagnostica.

Julia is also Board memberof Contra el Cáncer en Gipuzkoa association and an independent Board member at Cecabank. Formerly, she was member of the Board of the Spanish private equity and VC association SpainCap.
