Biography

Dr. Garcia-Echeverria brings extensive expertise in drug discovery, early-stage clinical development and strategic leadership. Over the course of his career, he has held senior scientific and executive roles at leading biopharmaceutical companies, including EQRx, Sanofi and Novartis. His work has been instrumental in driving the identification and development of innovative therapies across a wide range of disease areas and therapeutic modalities (over 50 IND-filings).

Currently, he serves as a scientific and strategic advisor to biopharma companies and venture capital firms. In this capacity, he advises on drug discovery programs, development strategies and partnership opportunities, helping to foster innovation and scientific progress across the life sciences sector.

Dr. Garcia-Echeverria received his PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Barcelona and has made significant contributions to scientific advancement authoring 190 peer-reviewed publications and securing 45 granted patents. His work has been recognised with distinctions such as the Leonidas Zerwas Award from the European Peptide Society.
