Biography
Almudena participates in sourcing and analyzing investment opportunities at Ysios Capital, integrating both scientific and business perspectives.
Her prior experience spans more than five years at the Centro Nacional de Biotecnología (CNB-CSIC), where she earned the highly competitive FPU fellowship. Her research was focused on novel T cell-based immunotherapies for cancer, exploring an innovative approach to optimize T cell fitness using bacteria to enhance their effectiveness against solid tumors. Additionally, she completed an internship at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB) in Bellinzona, Switzerland, where she further expanded her expertise in cancer immunotherapy.
Almudena holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology, an MSc in Computational Biology, and a Master in International Leadership, for which she received a prestigious grant from Fundación Rafael del Pino, all from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
