Biography

Laura contributes to the identification and evaluation of investment opportunities at Ysios Capital, from both scientific and business perspectives.

Prior to joining Ysios, Laura worked at the Stem Cells and Neurogenesis unit at Ospedale San Raffaele in Milan, where she received her PhD as a part of a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Training Network. During her thesis, she studied direct reprogramming approaches in Parkinson’s disease and the adaptive processes of dopaminergic neurons during this neurodegenerative disorder.

Laura holds a master’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biomedicine from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and a PhD in Molecular Medicine – Neuroscience and Experimental Neurology from the Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele.
